A Farm Wife's Life The Farm

Reality during Harvest

This is what my kitchen looks like way too often during the busy times…

It’s kinda embarrassing showing this picture, but this is my life…

I usually have five million other things going on. Things outside like my garden, chickens, cattle…that list never ends. Then there is all my sewing stuff inside. If my friends and family would just stop having kids, I might actually catch up on my blanket sewing. 😉 Then there is all the kid stuff like laundry…..it never ends!!!! I can’t wait for the day when they can help with this!!!  I usually have more on my plate than I probably should, but I doubt I will change. I actually have gotten better at keeping my kitchen better under control, which helps me feel a little less crazy some days, when the kids are extra crazy, but every now and then this happens….

I wanted to share this because I often have people say/think I’m this supermom…and well I’m not, I’m just a regular mom just like the rest of you out there. My house is usually a mess…..My three kids make sure of that…..but I try not to let it get the better of me. I Have my things that are a priority and my things that aren’t. Laundry be folded and put away is not one of them. My garden being taken care of is. My Kitchen being clean is somewhere in the middle of them!

Some might say I need to get my priorities better in order, but I don’t think so. My kids are healthy and clean (well at least before they go to bed) and well fed (when they want to eat). I know I neglect house chores some time, but I do my best to help those in need and teach my kids about helping others too. Thankfully God has made me where I can make work even when things are perfectly the way I want them and with out His daily grace, I wouldn’t make!

OK, Now that I’m done writing this post  I’m gonna go put Little Miss Adaline down for a nap, make sure the other two aren’t destroying the house and finish cleaning my kitchen…..I did some of it last night….now it’s time to finish cleaning it so I can mess it up again getting meals ready for the guys. 😉

I’m so thankful you put your dishes on hold to make us that adorable blanket! 🙂 In my books as long a the laundry is clean we can live out of the laundry basket. Who cares if it’s folded and put away….. lol

That’s what I like to do cause it makes the next day so much better, but sometimes it just doesn’t happen….but I am getting better at it that’s for sure. If someone comes over on laundry day I just hope they give me enough heads up so I can hid the baskets in our bedroom!
